The purpose of these pre-departure orientation seminars is to guide you through the
opportunities for cultural and personal development that will arise while you are overseas.
You’ll learn more about:
Local culture: Learning about local traditions and culture prior to traveling to your study
nation facilitates a smooth adjustment and encourages productive relationships with peers
from different backgrounds.
Student life in your new nation: A good study experience requires adjusting to a variety of
learning styles, classroom settings, and cultural customs.
Culture shock: Culture shock can occur when a person adjusts to a new culture. We’ll assist
you in identifying it and offer coping and thriving strategies.
Support and wellbeing: It’s critical for international students to have access to academic
help, English language support, visa advice, and more

Banking and foreign exchange: Upon arrival, opening a local bank account guarantees quick access to money for living expenses, housing, and tuition.
