A comprehensive guide to studying abroad

With over 15,000 successful student placements worldwide and nearly 50 years of
expertise, we know what it takes to identify a solid fit and position you for success.

Do thorough research

Investigate! Examine universities, courses, and locations. Before making your decision,
investigate the teaching modules, research opportunities, campus life, and employment prospects. For a broader viewpoint, you might speak with the alumni of the school you are interested in or ask your friends and relatives. Reach them more efficiently by using Facebook or LinkedIn. Don’t forget to incorporate your research into your budget and any grants that may be offered. We are aware that conducting research can be a draining task, but we can assist. Consult one of our counselors at UKIEC

Schedule a meeting with a UKIEC counselor when you’re ready. Many of our counselors
have been international students themselves and hold professional certifications. With a plethora of first-hand professional and personal knowledge from many study destinations worldwide, they are a welcoming face.

As a commencement point, take your course interests and wish list along to your counseling session. Your counselor will go through all of the significant as well as smaller details to ensure the best possible match between you, your selected university, and your area of study.

Create your application.

It is now time to apply after selecting a topic and a university. Your UKIEC counselor will provide support to your university and course applications. To speed up the process and boost your chances of selection, they will directly contact your chosen institution or school. We work under the strictest legal and ethical rules as we very seriously take our job. Practice extensively to get high marks if you have to appear for an English test in order to become eligible for your course. Along with possessing an extensive vocabulary, it is extremely important to be grammatically correct on a test such as the IELTS. Be highly knowledgeable about IELTS.

Acceptance of the offer

Your application will be assessed by the university or institution upon receipt and informed accordingly. Processing your application takes a few weeks, or longer in the case of postgraduate levels. If your application is approved, a letter of offer and an acceptance form will be mailed to you. Carefully read the offer with your counselor to ensure there are no conditions prior to acceptance. Your counselor will help you choose the best course or school for you if you are accepted into several ones.

Visa for students

The most crucial thing to do after accepting the offer letter is to apply for a student visa. Since every nation has different requirements, your UKIEC counselor will aid you with the visa application process and assist with preparing the necessary paperwork.

This is a checklist for student visas!

These are the most commonly required documents for your student visa. Refer to your UKIEC counselor for a complete list of documents relevant to your country of destination.

1). Evidence of registration at an accredited learning institution

2). Residence permit applications (country-specific variations apply)

3). Evidence of language proficiency (if necessary)

4). Evidence of parents’ or guardians’ consent (if under the age of 18)

5. Evidence of finance (your means to cover the cost of studying and living abroad)

6).
Passport-sized photographs

7).A photocopy of the passport as it stands today

8).Vaccination results (if required; country-specific variations apply)

Decide where you'll reside.

When you study abroad, you will have to rent a place to stay unless you have been given on-campus accommodations. You may look for a local host, homestay, or renting rooms. The cost will vary based on the city. If you choose to rent an apartment, you will also have to pay for utilities such as water, electricity, and internet, as well as tenant insurance (in some housing zones).

Make your travel arrangements in advance.

Booking your flights far in advance is important. Try to examine your selections with plenty of time to spare so that you can keep an eye on pricing changes and make reservations at the best rates. Make sure to verify the baggage allowance prices and the admission criteria in your host nation.

All set to go

Congratulations! You’re embarking on an incredible journey. Before you go abroad, there are plenty of little but important things to consider, and your UKIEC counselor will assist you with them. This will include things such as currency exchange, insurance, accommodation, SIM cards, opening a bank account, national laws, and cultural adaptation. To help you prepare for student life in your new country, we also organize regular pre-departure sessions throughout the year.
